Regulations

A valid BC freshwater fishing licence is required; the Columbia Valley is in fishing Region 4 (Kootenay). Recreation site and Crown land camping is limited to 14 days at one site. Kootenay National Park, entered at Radium Hot Springs, is federal land: it needs a Parks Canada pass and a national park fishing permit, and a BC licence does not cover it.
