Crown Land in Temagami

12 crown land sites 8 fishing spots 2 campgrounds

Temagami is Ontario's most storied canoe country: a web of long, deep lakes — Temagami, Obabika, Diamond, Lady Evelyn — linked by portages first cut centuries ago, and home to some of the province's last old-growth red and white pine. Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Provincial Park holds Ishpatina Ridge, the highest point in Ontario, and maintained crown-land campsites line the shorelines outside the parks. Access is simple: the village of Temagami on Highway 11, about an hour north of North Bay. This page rounds up the region's public land, fishing spots, campgrounds and road trips.
