Winter fishing on Cheslatta River
Cheslatta River is in fishing Region 6 (Skeena). BC has no separate ice fishing season, so the regular rules apply through the ice: the 2025-2027 synopsis lists rules of its own for this water, shown below, on top of the regional quotas.
- Trout catch and release; bait ban
- Trout/char: 5, but not more than 1 over 50 cm (hatchery steelhead included), 3 Dolly Varden/bull trout and/or lake trout combined, and 1 trout from streams July 1-Oct 31. Release all Dolly Varden/bull trout from streams, trout under 30 cm from any stream, and trout of any size from streams Nov 1-June 30.
- Arctic grayling: 3
- Burbot: 5
- Inconnu: 1
