Regulations

A valid BC freshwater fishing licence is required; the Okanagan is fishing Region 8, and Okanagan Lake has its own trout, bass and perch quotas. Recreation site and Crown land camping is limited to 14 days at one site, and BC Parks campgrounds such as Okanagan Lake Park charge their own fees. The 2003 Okanagan Mountain Park fire was started by lightning in this same dry forest, so check the BC Wildfire Service for campfire bans before every trip.
