BC parks in winter
BC Parks lists 254 parks and protected areas with winter recreation, winter camping or both. 116 allow winter camping, from frontcountry campgrounds kept open at a winter rate to backcountry huts and wilderness sites. Their winter notes mention cross-country skiing in 65, snowshoeing in 100, backcountry skiing in 38 and ice fishing in 27.
Winter services are reduced in most parks: water may be shut off, gates closed and access roads left unplowed. Each page below lists the park's current advisories and the nearest snow station.
