Fishing spots in Acadian Peninsula, New Brunswick

217 fishing spots found

This directory lists named lakes, rivers and brooks across New Brunswick, grouped by region: the Fundy coast, the Saint John River valley, the Miramichi and the Acadian Peninsula. Names and locations come from provincial hydrography, so most entries tell you where the water is rather than what lives in it. A species appears only where an angler has reported it, so an empty list means nobody has told us yet, not that the water is empty.

Anglers 16 and older need a provincial licence for inland waters, and seasons, bag limits and fly-only stretches are set by Recreational Fishery Area, not by the regions used here. Every sea-run Atlantic salmon and grilse must be released, and live fish can't be used as bait in inland waters. Read the New Brunswick fishing licence and rules guide before you go. To see whether a lake sits on Crown land, in a park or in a Protected Natural Area, find it on the map, and check the Crown land camping rules if you plan to stay the night.

Tidal waters need no provincial licence but follow federal Fisheries and Oceans Canada rules, and Fundy and Kouchibouguac national parks need a Parks Canada fishing licence instead of a provincial one.
