Regulations

A valid New Brunswick fishing licence is required on inland waters on this page; tidal water in the lagoon needs no provincial licence but follows Fisheries and Oceans Canada rules. All sea-run Atlantic salmon must be released, salmon may only be fished with barbless artificial flies, and non-residents need a licensed guide for salmon and, after April 15, for any species on the guide-required stretch of the Tabusintac. Protected natural areas and conserved areas allow tent camping, fishing and hunting, with vehicles only on authorized roads and trails.
