Ice fishing on Second Cranberry Lake

Second Cranberry Lake is in the Northwest Division of Manitoba's angling regulations. Walleye and sauger are open May 16, 2026 to April 30, 2027, and most other species all year. The 2026 Anglers' Guide has no entry of its own for this water, so the provincial limits and the division rules apply.

On the ice here
  • Shelters off by April 15, 2027, or sooner if a Conservation Officer orders it. In a provincial park, shelters must also meet Manitoba Parks' size, location and use standards, and may not be slept in.
  • No live bait fish may be used or possessed in this division. From April 1, 2027, live bait fish and leeches will be banned everywhere in Manitoba.
  • You may fish with two lines through the ice (one in open water), with no more than two hooks or lures per line, and you must stay within 50 m of your lines.
  • Barbless hooks are required on every line in Manitoba, ice fishing included.
