Regulations

A Manitoba angling licence and barbless hooks are required; the Pembina Valley is in the Southern Division, where walleye close April 6 to May 8. Live bait fish will be banned province-wide from April 1, 2027. Most of the valley outside the wildlife management areas is private farmland, so check the map before you walk in, and each WMA posts its own hunting and vehicle rules.
