Ice fishing on Shannon Lake

Shannon Lake is in the Northeast Division of Manitoba's angling regulations. Fishing is generally open all year in this division. The 2026 Anglers' Guide has no entry of its own for this water, so the provincial limits and the division rules apply.

Only single barbless hooks may be used here.

  • You may fish with two lines through the ice (one in open water), with no more than two hooks or lures per line, and you must stay within 50 m of your lines.
  • Barbless hooks are required on every line in Manitoba, ice fishing included.
