Regulations

A Manitoba angling licence and barbless hooks are required; Snow Lake is in the Northwest Division, where live bait fish may not be used or possessed at all. Manitoba sets no fixed night limit for a short stay on vacant Crown land, but leaving a camp or shelter in place needs approval from the district office. Open fires need an approved pit or a burning permit from April 1 to November 15, and fire and travel restrictions can close backroads in a dry summer.
