Regulations

A Manitoba angling licence and barbless hooks are required; Spruce Woods is in the Southern Division, where walleye close April 6 to May 8. The park needs a vehicle permit all year, and the Spirit Sands dunes are fragile, so stay on the marked trails. Wildlife management areas post their own hunting and vehicle rules, and open fires need an approved pit or a burning permit from April 1 to November 15.
